A.T.C. Challenge

I have found a new challenge you may be interested in. You have a great chance at winning some prizes. You have to hurry I think it end on Friday at midnight. It is new to me anyway LOL. All you have to do is create your own artist trading card. What is an A.T.C. you say. They are the size of a baseball card (2.5” x 3.5"}, come in many themes and people trade them as though they are trading cards.

How easy is that. It is on the second Tuesday of each month. That just make me smile. It is quick and easy J

I know it is discontinued. An oldie but goodie I think .
I used a SCRAP-Mart.com custom Design Die Template

My Card measures just a little bigger it is 21/4 x31/4 oppps
Paper was Donna Salazar Blank Canvas DS-5280 and DO You See…DS-4283 I

I accented with some clearsnap Cat eyes and my personal fave

Witch Hat

Well Halloween costume making is in full bloom at my house. I have not been able to do much more then that LOL. My Five year old asked me to dress up like a witch with her :) I have to dress up on Friday at work too. So I decided that I would make my hat out of poster board and some of my fun Halloween dies :) Here is what I came up with LOL It is pretty big about 2 feet tall haha ha Oh, I have a art blog now. This is my best try at this sketch. I don't have many stamps yet.

collection. It happens to be my favorite holiday.

M.I.A. Life can sure get in the way of my crafting. Thank
Goodness for no dead lines . I think that would make me even more crazy. Did you all know there is a fungus that can attack your lungs in the north east Ohio. Yap and guess who it found. Yours truly I have to take meds for at least 6 months. Then I am going to be retested again to make sure it is gone. Lets hope that is the case. I don’t want to lose a lung. My 3 yrs. Old fell off her bunk bed ladder Thursday night.I was not home hubby was. She sleeps on the bottom wonder how that happened. Needless to say the last two weeks have been very interesting.

I don't know about you girly's but this week is a killer for me. Bree's first day of Kindergarten was yesterday:) it was weird not have her all morning. Keeley sure missed her. I wanted to post this card I made it for 2S4y I am really trying to make a post a week. So this was my take on the sketch this week. I did incorporate it with a few other challenges Color Combos galore and timeless Tuesday. I find myself looking at those sites often for inspiration. I just have not figured out how to link myself to them and don't have the time today LOL.
I am sorry no supply list today I have to get ready for my trip to the hospital tomorrow and I need to get ready for work no more play time for me :(

I went school shoe shopping with my little girls. I know what you are thinking another Halloween thing. I just cant help myself. I had to create some thing other the a card or layout. Sometimes I get into this pattern and in order for me to break it I have to do something outside the box. No pun intended :) Hopefully you in joy it. Well here is my shot at another blog challenge. Thank You Kazan:)
I am rapidly become addicted to challenges. This particular Blog challenge
happens to be with one of my favorite Stamp Companies.
They are a perfect match for my Spellbinders:) It just so happens I use Tsukineko's Memento ink with all of my stamps. I use my copics on just about everything I create:)

Sunflower Frame

This is quite a day for me blogging. I am just trying to finish up a couple of projects. Wanted to know your thoughts on this little project. It is meant to be a
Wedding gift. Her Colors are Black, Gold, White, and flowers are well you guessed it!! My intention is for her to put a 5x7 wedding photo in it. I am worried there may not be enough white lol I don't think it shows up at all. I Guess I could make another one and just use white daisy's!! I think I have been looking at it to long. It has soked up the last three days.

This is a card for 2S4Y sketch this week was a lot of fun. I think I am quickly
becoming obsessed with this Blog. The challenges are fun and a great way to keep me busy:) My mother works for Scrap Mart and is always on need of art work for there both at the stamp and scrapbook shows. They actually have a lot of my things right now:) I feel like I am still supporting Spellbinders that way.

Well this is my first time ever doing a sketch challenge.
I have to say I had a lot of fun doing it. This is something I will try and do more often. Seeing all of the great artists out there. I can be a little intimidated in this world.

I love frogs!! I found this by googleing Frog pop up card.
that took me to eHow.com The video was very basic but I thought that she got the point across very well. I just added a few touches of my own:) I added little eye lashes to accent the eyes and a nestability hart for the mouth. The eyes are made with my circle nesties too:) This card was really fun and easy to make once I know what I was going to do with it. The sentiment inside reads as followed:

A dear best friend is having a baby at the end of this month.
This was a spin off of a baby shower invite that I had made for her.
I thought I would go with the onesie. The body was a hand drawing, to
embellish I used my Nestabilities they created the scallops around the arms, leg and neck.This is a quick post today. I want to get a few projects done today!! Valentines day is approaching quickly:)

I have to give Linda Duke and Becca Feeken a shot out I did not get
to meet them YET!! All theses amazing designers inspire me everyday.
They where all very nice ladies. I wish I would have taken a lot of pictures.
But I was working a lot of the time. I think my MOM had gotten a few. If so I will post them soon. I am off to work here and I don't have much time to finish.
When I was a loud to take a walk I saw some really net thing that I thought I would mention and now I am running out of time:) Have some hair to do today. Will have to tell you all about them soon :)

Welcome !!

Today is my very first Blog Frenzy ever. I get to share a very fun Die Template Set, Spellbinders S4-276 Sweet Treats!

I have two projects to share today, starting with my Ice Cream Social Invitation.

Many ideas came to mind when I first saw these adorable die templates. I really could do so much with all of these delicious dies! Of all four in the set, the Ice Cream Cone is my favorite.

These are the supplies for my 5x7” card:

Spellbinders: The Wizard Die Cut & Embossing System
Spellbinders Dies Templates S4-276 Sweet Treats; S4-235 Fancy Tags; S5-016 Polka Dot Frame
The Paper Company: 5x7” Pink, 4 ½ x 6 ½” Black, 5 ½ x 8 ½” White Cardstock
Creative Impressions: Polka Dot Ribbon
Taylored Expressions: Pink Rhinestone Bling
Copic Sketch Markers: E33, E15, E77, RV04, RV09, RV23

First I cut/embossed one Ice Cream Cone die cut from white paper, this will be the pink cone.

to get a mirror image for the second cone, so I cut only from white paper. Remove the die cut from the die and place it on the flat side of the die, and secure with low tack tape.

Emboss the die cut using the upside down die template, and stencil through the holes in the die from the front. Now I have mirror image die cuts!

I embellished my cones using my Copic Airbrush System and Copic Sketch Markers. I masked off areas I did not want airbrushed with masking tape.

Here I started with the waffle cone part. I almost always start with darker colors first. I chose E15 for the shadows of the waffle.

Keep the die cut paper in the die and move the masking tape to reveal the next section to color. I covered the parts I don’t want colored.

Using the darker of the pinks #RV04.

This is the result! Looks yummy, doesn’t it?.

Because I used the darker of the colors first I can now use my lighter colors for the back ground without degrading the colors too much.

Mask off as necessary, using tape or scrap paper. I started with E33

The same for the top only, #RV02, this is how it should look at this stage.

To finish it off I used a Milky Way Galaxy Marker to add some highlights.

I used the Frameabilities® S5-016 Polka Dot Frame to frame out the party details.
I cut/embossed white cardstock, then turned die template over. I used the die template as a stencil and airbrushed RV04 to color the dots. I positioned the frame on black cardstock. With the Milky Way marker I hand wrote the invitation information. I added a S4-235 Fancy Tag and embellished with a little rhinestone bling and ribbon.

Hello!! I wanted to take a moment and thank you everyone for all of the wonderful comments. It truly means a lot. I try to post comments any time I visit other Blogs. Hello all !! Spellbinders is at it again. They are looking for the ultimate Designers. I had the opportunity to try out for this years team!! And it was the best experience. I got to meet all of my favorite designers with exception of very few. I love all the new products I got to use (it still makes me shiver:) However I will not be trying out this year. Because I am Stacey's little sister. I am not eligible:( But no worries I can work on my blog :) and hang more with my kids. And it gives all you designers a

Yes yet another photo of my girls. I can be a little cheesy when it comes to getting there pictures taken:) but I am there MOM and it is my right to do so:) There is a lot going on in these layouts. Life has a way of getting in the way of my blogging :) I thought I would share another project that I did for Summer CHA . The Paper Company has some really great shimmer Paper. The new snow flakes from Spellbinders just topped this layout . Hope you enjoy the eye candy :)
I am not big on the layouts But I do like the fact that I am getting a lot of my albums done .
I tend to dwell on a layout for hours . Did I do enough or not enough that is always going through my brain . The picture says a thousand words by it's self.

This is another CHA Summer project that I made for Spellbinders Paper Arts .
This is a Photo of my Grandma when she was a little girl around the 1920's .
I saw this bag at Pat Catan's My favorite craft store:)
I had gotten my new Labels and knew just what I was going to do.

I am not that advanced with blogging just yet. Any way Altered projects are my all time favorite things to do . They are very time consuming for me though. This took me a week to complete. There is a lot of Decoupage, Colorbox Chalks Feathers, Foil and 7 gypsies paper.

I really liked the way this turned out :)

I am fast becoming a stamp junky. Never thought I would until I saw Crafty Secrets has the cutest
littler girl witch for Halloween :)

Well as you may know I do some drawing. I am doing this project it is a layout for scrapbook page and it has a nautical theme.

Long story short, After combing the net for a Company that makes nautical themed Stamps that I could color in with my Copic Markers of course .
I found nothing. To be more specific I was in need of an anchor !! Well I did not find one !!

So, Here is what I came up with. Let me know what you think ?

It was done from my own mind no reference. Sometimes I will get an idea and I can't get it out of my mind. I even tried to make one with the Nestabilities (lol) . There good but I found this to work a lot better :) It will be an embellishment for the page :) AND SOMEDAY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE PAGE BUT
NOT RIGHT NOW . I know such a tees:)

OK I have a couple of minutes by myself with the kiddies to bed and all:)
I wanted to Share a few of the products that I used on the Fireplace Card.
Some of the Dies are discontinued hopefully Stacey will bring some of them back because they are so great. Me in the position I am in there is not much in the case of dies I don't have :) However I am fast becoming addicted to stamps :) And I do have some doubles Dies :) I was thinking maybe blog candy :) I do not know!! or maybe trading:)

I really like the Holly that came from a die called Ornament & Holly S3-075 and the Camp Fire Die S3-073. Now I know Tags 5 S4-081 will never go anywhere it is way to popular.

Here comes the new Dies for the Christmas season(HOHOHO) not ready for that at all.
Labels 8 S5-019 I don't know about you but I can not get enough labels :)
And last but not lest the Stocking from a set called Holiday- Cheer S4-225 this die was so much fun to work with . I can see this in many different projects of mine :) If I ever have the time to post any thing. (LOL)

The paper was from DCMC luxury pack from Pat Catan's my favorite Craft Store!! Micheal's is running a close second :) But staying on track here I used a ton of Copic now I can't remember
witch ones I used and truth be told I do not want to type all of them out SO what . I know I will need to start taking pictures of what I use . So I can post them toos . Gosh there is so much for his Newbie to remember it is crazy . Back on track I used Stickel's to give it a little sparkles and some brads that I got from creative expressions. I used 3d foam squares and EZ-runner from scrapbook adhesive. And I think that is all.

I finally get to share some of the things I have made for Spellbinders CHA .
First of all I don't consider myself a card maker. Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy making them and they take me no time. Sometimes I get to looking around and see so many excellent card makers are out there and honestly it can be a little intimidating if you know what I mean. Just check out some of my fellow design team members :) or the blogs I visit way to much. They are truly a great inspiration for me.

This is where my Journey begins I wanted to give you kind of
an inside view of my experience so far.
Spellbinders basically gave me a challenge to create one layout, one card & one Altered piece
with the new release dies they gave to me . This card was completely inspired by the stocking.
It is late and time to put the kids to bed. I will post with all the details on Monday:)

I was going for a nautical theme for this Summer's photos. By the way most of my pictures are taken by a pro and they do get quite cheesy. I think little girls should be cheesy it is fun to indulge. That is why God gave me little girls :)

I will post that layout when I am able to. However this was an altered project for the month of May. It was really quite easy to make.

I used Spell binders die S4-072 Flower Creations
Copic Markers BG000, B29, BG01
Crystal brads from Derice carried by Pat Catan's My local Craft Store of choice :) I can spend all day in there. But that is another story I can not get into.
I did find a navy Blue head band at Target of all places.
(I can spend all day in there too)
One more thing a Styrofoam egg I cut in half .(Warning) It did turn out bigger then I had expected. But I had to use it anyway :) It was meant for my 2 year to ware (LOL) But Bree my 4 year old was very happy to model it. I hope I will be back soon with more projects to share soon.

The Craft And Hobby Association (CHA) This coming week. hehehe
SOOO happy for all the Lucky ducks that get to attend. Last Winter was my first time to experience anything like it. It is truly a craftswoman dream place. Sadly I will not be attending.
But I do have my hopes on going again this Winter :)
I did want to share a new Spellbinder release. There is about four new Dies on this card. I thought it would be fun to see how many I could get on this card. There are snow Flakes, Labels & boarders Oh my !! I am going to have to look up the SKU # my bad. I just want to get this posted real Quick:)
Taylored Expressions was my stamp of choice for this card.
I do not own very many stamps. I would actually love more. But my little girl is starting school and funds are really tight.
Someday I will get a great stamp collection going:)Ribbon is from this fantastic Company called Creative impressions :)

Now that the Spellbinders blog frenzy is over I have some catching up to do. CRAZY at home. I am sure everyone has been to crazy town before. That is where my life is right now. I received my Dies in the mail needless to say I was excited. It is called Kaleidoscope pendent. But all I could see was an Iris, The center which is called the medallion which I turned into a 3D Iris

I just have to tell everyone there is going to be a frenzy for Spellbinder's Tomorrow
and I can't wait .I am such a stockier when it comes to blogs, I just love all that is out there.
I must say Spellbinders has some of the coolest dies out there on the market today.
Not to mention some of the most talented & inspiring designers. Can you hear the kissing butt :) I personally can't wait to see all of there stuff. My head is spinning form all the new things I have seen heheheh.
Being apart of this amazing team has had it's challenges. With me having two babies & a part time job. It can be hard to get my work done. This month has been a challenging one. Having my four projects due and getting ready for CHA in Florida witch means another four projects on top CRAZY
And I asked for this. All in all this is and exciting time for me. I have been getting to do some pretty cool things with art that I would have put off and there are more things I wish I had the time for like posting and sharing what I have been doing . I think once I get use to or get faster at my turn over it will all work itself out. Tomorrow is going to be fun you will have to check it out !!

This is my altered project for Spellbinders for the month of April. I just love working with Copper or any type of metals for that matter.
It really can make a statement. This is a terrible
photo. It does it no justice. Any who I used a couple of my favorite dies S4-076 Assorted Leaves & S4-011 Harvest Leaves Two. And one roll of craft copper foil . I also purchased a blank wooded frame that was a dollar at Micheal's Craft store. And a round Mirror at my all time favorite Craft Store Pat Catan's . Oh ya I used some hot glue and some tree branches from out side they where just laying around the house. This is what I consider an altered project. taking a plane round mirror and Turing it into something that I would hang in my house. Hope you all like this one. At one point I had thought I would be an artist for Disney. As a kid in school I was always drawing cartoons. My favorite is Calvin and Hobbies a little Cartoon by Bill Waterson, And I can draw anything from Beauty & the Beast.

Any way I can totally see these as stamps now. I like sharing them. The only people who have seen them is my family.

This is one of my cards that I made for Spellbinders. I am always looking at the dies and trying to come up with different ways that I can use them. The poodle is a great example of that. This card I made a tri-fold card by connecting the inside body together. I though that the paisley die looked a little like well a bug. The dots came from the flower creations die, I never throw any thing away.
when it comes to my paper crafting . I am sesiously thinking about making my own paper with the scraps I am not using . I am sure some of you are already doing that. I am just saving it .

April's art work has been released from Spellbinders. Now I can share what I have been working on. I think I am going to do this spared out so I don't run out of things . I want to share my Scrapbook layout today. Totally 50's inspired by the dresses my Mom found in her travels last Summer. She travels doing demo's for Spellbinders. The poodles on these dresses inspired me to create a poodle using the Classic Scalloped Ovals. Sometimes. Sometimes I see things in my head and they don't come out so good on paper. This just came together for me. It was a lot of fun.
Back to work!! Spellbinders has a lot of new amazing thing in store. I can't wait to share more:) heheh!!!

Sitting here in my computer room. Looking through all of my emails and catching up on blogs.
Thinking there are some really talented people out there. I can't believe how much I have been missing these past couple of years. Blogging is truly amazing. It is as if someone came and ripped off the blinders I have been waring.

I started just as a young kid that liked to draw, Then I got in to pottery for the longest time. I still think about it once in a while. You know what if I had my own Art Studio? What would I have in it ? Maybe this is something I need to explore a little more.

What do I want to be when I grow up ?
I remember my big sister always saying the possibilities are endless, Even when the odds always seem to be against her. It's hard to be original, inspiring & creative. I am sitting here just trying to inspire myself and look within myself and see what I came come up with. This is a drawing that one day maybe a stamp or digital image. Who knows !! It is called mushroom land
I hope you all like it. I seem to doodle a lot in my spare time .

Yes, I am feeling a little over brain fried right now .
I have just completed four projects for Spellbinders that you can not see
on my blog just yet, Once they get released they will make an appearance.
I have figured out that I need to manage my time a little better at home
I thought I was being productive at home (apparently not)
I need to start my projects for next month now, So I am not so behind this time.
so I feel like we guilty that I am not doing many post.

Spellbinders 2009 Design Team Retreat

Well I am back !! All most normal again.
It is hard being away form my girls & hubby for a week.
I had such a great time meeting & getting to know everyone .
I have never been around such a talented group of women at one time in my life .
I myself have never been apart of a Design Team before.
I feel that we all meshed very well together. Having such different styles it
worked very well . Putting a bunch of women together could
end up being a little catty. Being a hair stylist I seem to run across this a lot.
Spellbinders worked over time to put this trip together .
I would like to thank Stacey, Kim & whoever else for working to get the
Cross Promotional Products . The turn out was quite a site to see.
It is nice to know that there is great support from other Companies .
It really said a lot about Spellbinders . I would also like to Thank
Cathy for all the hard work she did .Going through the product,(fun fun )
Gathering information and teaching the wizard classes.
I even found Toby's marketing speech very interesting .
And there is no words that I can say to Maryanne Walker for
coming and certifying me in Copic Markers personally I am completely
fascinated with theses markers As, I am shore you are to!!

This card was inspired by a purse card I saw in the card marker Mag . My friend is having a jewelry

party and wanted me to come up with some kind of discount I could give them (You know because I do Hair) . As a party gift .I did not want to do a boring flyer . This is what I came up with . It was easy.

I used my Wizard (He is so wonderful:} I would Merrie him if I could ) no other machine can emboss quite like him .

A thought I have to get out

I really don't have much this week .I have been spring cleaning .Trying to
get things done because I will be going to AZ. Before I know it. There has been aa lot of buzz on two peas about CK 's mag . I have been reading a lot about that . Times are tough .It will be interesting to see witch Big Paper
Art Companies make it out of this recession . Maybe the little companies are the way to go . Look at the big malls they are changing there look , go back to the window shop outlets .People don't want to walk through the mall anymore.They want convenience in and out . much like inter net travel.
Coming in this from a fine arts back ground .I think CK 's mag is very good .
It probably could focus on different styles more .For the most part it seems to focus on a little bit here and there . Not getting to involved in one thing . Any way I don't want to see them go out of business over this .To many people are losing there jobs . This is a fairly new break through in the hole art realm .I think Paper Crafting is here to stay . It has always been here
stamping , scrapbooking,card making and altered seem to be all lumped together and frankly they should stick together .They make a stronger appereence when they stand together.
well I am done rantting haaaaa. It is off my chest and that is what this journey is all about .

Stamped Project

This is my stamped project it is actual my Nice's Birthday card .

I used some One dollar stamps I found in the Clarence bin at my local craft store . I don't do very much stamping . I like to do my own art work . I guess I am a stamp snob or I haven't found the right kind of stamps :[ I did use cat eyes . I love ink can't get enough !!

I will show some of my art work one day just give me some time .

right now I am working on my layout for the designe team finals .

found some really cool paper at my craft store I think I am going to use it .

I thought this was a good composition . I did a little bit of everything .
I used my spellbinders dies and did a little distressing with my petals from color box . I also used glitter glue (a girl can't live with out her bling ) .

This is a picture of my little Keeley when she was at the Hospital .

I wanted to tell you what I used to create this caring case .

I started with my Wizard box that it was shipped in .
I used the large sun flower die . Embellished with my copic
markers , And glitter glue (ranger). I did some wire wrapping with beads .
I decoupage the outside of the box with Modpog and Paper . distressed it with Ranger Inks . It was a lot of fun .

I am documenting my Artistic Journey for the first time .

Just to let everyone know I do consider myself a multi media artist .

I have worked with just about everything I can get my hands on .

(So be nice) . My Big sister started her Own Company about four years ago in the craft industry. She has inspired me to pick up my pencils again . Here is my altered project for her Design Team. "YES" I am tyring out.
